The Show
Live at the Barbershop is the original underground comedy show in NYC's East Village. The show takes place in a real barbershop at 174 E 2nd St and features rotating lineups of professional comedians. The shows run about 70 minutes with no intermission.
Barbershop by day, comedy venue by night. Since 2016, we've hosted over 1,500 sold-out shows in the most intimate 40-seat room in New York City. It's stand-up comedy the way it should be.
What People Are Saying
โ 4.9 ยท 77 Google ReviewsThe best comedy I've seen in a very long time. 3 men and 3 women, each extremely talented and ridiculously funny. Mix of established talent sharpening their edges and up and coming stars who literally had us crying.
This place is a gem! Yes, the show is in an actual barber shop and it is always a great time. The comedians are some of NYC's best and the shows are always sold out. I highly recommend a stop at this place during a night out.
This was an incredible show! Probably the best in NY.
My favorite comedy show in the city (and I've been to many). There's always something fresh and I love that there's almost always a woman in the lineup who absolutely kicks ass on stage. I bring everyone who comes to visit NYC to this show and it never disappoints!
What a hilarious night! Inside a barber shop that up until 15min before the show was actually cutting hair. Every comedian except one was brilliant and that other one was still good. Well worth it, what a pleasant surprise.
Fun space for comedy shows that have a variety of comedians so you're bound to enjoy at least one.
I've gone twice and have not stopped recommending it since. This show feels like NYC's hottest, best kept secret. The comedians are all super talented, the scene at the barbershop is quaint and cozy, and it all comes together for the most authentic comedy/NYC show experience. Highly recommend. Bring all your friends.
